Well, another day down in the books.
I had hoped it would be a busy day at the station, with things winding down in order to watch the Super Bowl uninterrupted. The day turned out to be a bust....NO CALLS!! While it is good for the community and county, it is boring for me. I spent some time doing training, and doing some PT. The remainder of the day was spent doing odd jobs around the station....labeling backboards, scraping ice, etc.
For dinner, we ended up with a ton of food that is perfect for such a day. Grilled wings and deep fried wings (although not my food of choice, they were good), a nacho dip, chips, deli sandwiches.
We sat around the kitchen watching the big game while everyone was eating, and then moved into the tv room to watch it on our 52" big screen. At the end of the game...it was time for a good night's sleep.
A lot of the fire department is sitting around and waiting.......
