Today, we learned all about "Fire Behavior." We covered areas that address what a fire is made up of, combustion, the hidden dangers of smoke, flashover, backdraft, etc. It was a very LONG and DRY lecture. Once everything was covered, things got a little more interesting though. We went out to the burn pad and watched some demonstrations, where a miniature house that had been constructed was lit on fire and used to show how to starve and feed a fire, create a backdraft and so on.
All in all....it was a LONG day....but nothing too exciting happened.
