We spent the day learning about Rural Water Supply / Operations.
Rural water supply takes place when you are in an area that is not supported by water hydrants. In the County I am in, there are a lot of farms and rural land that fit into this category and we have to bring our own water to the fire.
Sorry that I don't have much to report.....it was pretty low key.
Tomorrow we will actually run an operation where we tank in the water and drop it in portable water tanks (basically a giant swimming pool we set up on the fire ground) to supply the water needs.
