We spent time learning about anchor systems and how to setup systems to repel, as well as some self rescue techniques if something happened to our rope.
One recruit lost his footing and fell about 25 feet (about 10 feet from the ground) before the person on the safety rope was able to stop him......a few people stopped breathing as he plummeted at about 32 feet per second. I can only imagine what he was feeling....
