Week 20: Day 2

Today we ran through the rural water supply procedures with hands-on practicals. This ran us up to lunch time. When we got back from lunch, we sat in the class to await further instruction. The instructors obviously forgot about us and that we were going to be finished early, we sat there for a little while until an instructor came in and asked why we were sitting there. They then did the mad scramble to find something for us to do...BUSY WORK!! We spent the remainder of the day cleaning the academy and wiping down doorknobs, etc (a recruit went home with flu like symptoms).

The highlight of the day was when the instructors came in with a box of coats and hats and told us that it was getting to the point in the school where they needed to place orders for our uniforms. THAT'S RIGHT....we were fit for our uniforms for when we get into the field!!! It is crazy to think that in a mere few weeks we will be hitting the streets to save lives and property!! WOOHOO!!!
