Flashover simulator.
We spent the entire day going through the flashover simulator. We loaded the simulator with particle board and then cribbing in order to ignite the room. Temperatures reached about 1100 degrees.
Flashover is when everything reaches its ignition point almost simultaneously.
We also got to see the fire rollover and spread across the ceiling and thermal layering of smoke.
I wanted to go back in again...but unfortunately I couldn't.
