Week 16: Day 4

Midterm burns!!!

We spent the day lighting the burn building on fire, and then going in doing different scenarios. We ran through a total of 7 evolutions for the day. During each evolution, we assumed a different responsibility to see what each responding unit was responsible for.

We went through and extinguished fires, performed searches in the building without a hoseline, performed secondary searches, rescued victims, etc. It was a LONG day, but a lot of fun.....

It is amazing watching a fire climb up the wall, across the ceiling, and extend out of a room over your head......but you also have to be mindful of your surroundings.

I now have my Fire I certification complete.
