Week 19: Day 3

Final Skills Practicals/ Retests

The 5 of us that passed everything helped to setup the stations for retests and then sat by the burn barrel to stay warm. The other recruits were called out individually to redo their stations that they failed the day prior. This brought us up to about 10:00.

At this point, we went back into the classroom for lecture on Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT). RIT is responsible for making entry to save a firefighter in distress. We learned about their responsibilities, the tools they carry, etc. We will learn more about this during firefighter survival week, but we needed to touch base on it for our Final burns that are coming up.

After lunch, we were sent throughout the academy to clean (aka kill time since they had nothing for us to do).

At 2:45, we were dismissed for the day and sent to enjoy a "4 day weekend."

Week 19 is COMPLETE!! Time is ticking away......
